Dublin Bus began operating the 44D between O'Connell Street and Dundrum Luas on November 27th 2023. There were two early morning inbound services and one return service in the evening Monday to Fridays only. These services were introduced following the withdrawal of the 61 in Phase 5B of Bus Connects.
