The 16 and 16C's which started at Larkhill were removed following a timetable change effective January 26th 2020. They were replaced by short workings on the 44, which operated from Larkhill to O'Connell Street, via Drumcondra. These services sometimes display 44C and continued to be operated by Summerhill Bus Depot.

On August 10th 2020, the 44 was rerouted en-route to Enniskerry via Dundrum by-pass and Wyckham Way instead of Main Street. Inbound services remained unchanged.
