Go-Ahead Ireland began operation of this service on August 31st 2020. The NTA gave approval for these extra capacity school services to be introduced due to capacity constraints on buses due to COVID-19. They use former Dublin Bus AX's bought by Go-Ahead Ireland, designated 11701-11709. The 236T operates from Tyrellstown to Coolmine Community School via Blanchardstown Corporate Park, Ballycoolin Business Park, Snugborough Road and the Blanchardstown Centre.

These services were initially designated 236S but changed soon afterwards to 236T.
