Go-Ahead Ireland began operation of this service on August 31st 2020. The NTA gave approval for these extra capacity school services to be introduced due to capacity constraints on buses due to COVID-19. They use former Dublin Bus AX's bought by Go-Ahead Ireland, designated 11701-11709. The 220T operates from Collins Avenue West to Finglas (Garda Station) via Ballymun Road, Shangan, Poppintree, Jamestown Road, McKee Road and Finglas Village.

These services were initially designated 220S but changed soon afterwards to 220T.
