Dublin Bus introduced the City Imp route 122 on June 14th 1998. It ran from Ashington to Drimnagh Road via Navan Road, Fassaugh Avenue, Carnlough Road, Phibsboro, North Circular Road, O'Connell Street, Dame Street, Camden Street, South Circular Road, Dolphins Barn, Keeper Road and Mourne Road. It replaced the 22 which last operated the day before.
