Dublin Bus introduced the City Imp route 120 on October 31st 1993. It ran from O'Connell Street to Cabra (Ratoath Road) via Phibsboro, Dowth Avenue, Carnlough Road and Ventry Park. It replaced the northern half of the 22A, which would only operate between Parnell Square East and Drimnagh Road from this day.
