Dublin Bus began operating the DART Feeder service 102 between Malahide and Sutton Station on June 15th 1986. On February 8th 1987 was extended from Malahide to a terminus at Seabury (Yellow Walls Road). On May 7th 1989, a revised Sunday timetable came into operation. On April 23rd 1990, a minor timetable came into operation. On February 25th 1991, a revised timetable came into operation, the Sunday service was discontinued from this date. On April 19th 2004, a revised Monday to Friday timetable came into operation. On November 1st 2004, operations also transferred from Clontarf to Harristown depot, a revised timetable came into operation also. On March 9th 2008, the 102 was extended from Seabury to Dublin Airport via Swords and River Valley, a revised enhanced timetable including Sunday services was introduced from this day.
On December 2nd 2018, operation of the 102 transferred from Dublin Bus to Go-Ahead Ireland. An enhanced timetable came into operation from this date. On June 28th 2021, the 102 was rerouted via Strand Road instead of Wendell Avenue, Redfern Avenue or Carrickhill Road. On August 11th 2024, a revised timetable came into operation, the 102 was also routed to serve Portmarnock Station in both directions.
